Court Report of Their Highnesses Tir Righ
Prince Ulf and ban-Fhlaith Bernadette
Eisenmarche Shire Banquet
April 2, 2005 AS 39

The Royal Floosie, HL Kenzie McBeign announced that tickets were available for the feast at Spring Coronet Tourney in the Shire of Shittimwoode. Courses represent the personas of our illustrious four Coronets who have reigned in Tir Righ since it's inception:

Thegn Ulf - Meat
Thegn Oak - Meat
Viscount Kheron - Meat
Naqiba Celdae - Chicken Tangine
Viscountess Ksenia - Cabbage Rolls
ban-Fhlaith Bernadette - Lemon/Custard tarts

Two young gentles of Eisenmarche were called forth: Donald of Clan Smith and Aurora Preston. Our Serene ban-Fhlaith Bernadette bade Donald and Aurora to make known to all the accounts of their activities in the Shire of Eisenmarche. Donald has served at many shire banquets, given his time on gate duty, constable, babysitting, and is the receipient of the EisenChef Japanese award. Aurora reported that she helps out when she can, entertaining the co-autocrat at Feast of St. Catherine's, and gate, gate, gate, gate. Be it known to all that this day, through the will of King Skeggi and Queen Taisiia, Royal Lion and Lioness of An Tir, by the hands of the Storm Thrones of Tir Righ, Ulf and Bernadette; Donald of Clan Smith and Aurora Preston each were granted an Award of Arms for their services to the Shire! Examples of young and noble service, Huzzah!

Their Highness' Royal Secretary Yslisabeata Tabassum al'Zarqa of Lions Gate was called to present herself before Their Highnesses. By the grace of Their Royal Majesties, Skeggi and Taisiia, Prince Ulf and ban-Fhlaith Bernadette happily presented her with an Award of Arms. Her Highness bade all present, that Yslisabeata served faithfully as Royal Secretary for two reigns, and has promoted the art of Middle Eastern Dance where ever she goes.

Lady Kaos, Chronicler of Eisenmarche, made a mistake in the Royal Curia of Eisenmarche's newsletter The Toad, by referring to Their Highnesses Ulf and Bernadette as Kheron and Ksenia, and suitable mea culpa's were offered.

The noble strength of Tir Righ, Prince Ulf noticed that there are a number of decent rapier fighters in Tir Righ. With that being said, Don Guidobaldo Marco Odo d'Aquila rose and announced that it is a true joy to recognize Don Prospere de Montsegur as one of the finest blades he has ever crossed with. When Don Guidobaldo met Don Prospere, Don Prospere didn't know the pointy end of a rapier from the blunt end. With these accolades, Prince Ulf and ban-Fhalith Bernadette admitted Don Prospere into the Order of the Hafoc! Three cheers!

There will be a War Moot on Sunday, May 8th in Lions Gate. Our warrior Princess Bernadette very much desires that Tir Righans learn skills at this war moot, with the goal of becoming a calvary army! If Mothers would sacrifice, er, send their sons to this cause they will receive tokens of gratitude from Her Highness. The war scenarios offered will help sharpen your skills. Her Highness guarantees it will be wonderful fun for all!

Prince Ulf recalled that at last year's May Crown Tournament, His Casino fundraiser was a smashing success and that a good time was had by all. Another casino will be held on the Saturday evening of Spring Coronet Tournament. Bring your money. Last year the casino was so successful, the Principality now has a trailer!

Thus ends the Court Report of Their Highnesses Tir Righ, Ulf and Bernadette.

Yours In Service,

Lady Yslisabeata Maryam Tabassum al'Zarqa
Royal Secretary to Their Highnesses Tir Righ
Prince Ulf and ban-Fhlaith Bernadette

Personal Memories

It was at this event that I received my AoA. I had to get home for the evening, and so couldn't stay for the banquet, but I had come for the fencing. I wasn't competing that day, but was there to marshal instead. Due to a lack of marshals I also marshaled for the armoured combatants, and got to see the prince fight the king of the West from the best view point there was. Shortly before the banquet I was getting into the car to go home when a runner came and shouted for me. I was being called before an impromptu court called by Princess Bernadette. I came back inside to see a court set up sans thrones. I was directed to kneel before them and the next thing I remember I was being handed a scroll and given a hug. I was completely dumbfounded for most of the ride home. --Tomas
