Formerly known as Søren den Gråblits and Diomedes Osta Thravstira.
Diomedes started out as Søren den Gråblits in July 2011. His interest was piqued by the enthusiasm and generosity of friends in Trimaris. He began his existence in the SCA as a rapier fighter. Soon, he purchased his own gear and made his own garb. Before you know it, he was authorized to fight in tourneys! As exciting as rapier combat was, the heavy list called to him and in October 2011 he began putting together his armor.
He was assisted by the Myrmidons right from the get go. They helped him find armor and begin the long road of training. After some time at sea, studying his Agrippa... no pun intended, and a book specifically on the footwork used in fighting, he finally joined the heavy field. His beginner armor was becoming tough to move in, and he upgraded becoming more flexible and more period-looking.
Of note, some time before all this heavy fighting, he ended up wrestling and grappling with anothe Dragon's Lairan and broke his ribs. Thus, the name "the Ribreaker" was borne. After attending Art of War 2012 with the Myrmidons of An Tir, he became an Auxiliary of the Myrmidons officially at June Faire 2012. At this point, Idomeneus gave him the name "Diomedes" and some big shoes to fill.
A full fighting season later his gauntlet was held at Last Chance and he became a full fledged crest wearing Myrmidon.
During Baroness War 2014, he Marshalled the combined forces of the Myrmidons, Legio Draconis, and the allies who joined behind Marquessa Laurellen de Brandevin. And on that day he was taken as a Squire by Syr Kazimir Konstantinov.
After some time and deployments had passed he soon assumed the role as Hegemon of the Myrmidons of the Northern Boat during June Faire XXXIII of 2015. He selected Stelios Amenophis Onuris as his Strategos and they have lead the Myrmidons through an An Tir/West War, Honey War, Game of Thrones, and Autumn War. During Sport of Kings (2015) HRM Mary Grace surprised Diomedes with roving court, presenting him with a Goutte de Sang.
