Event Highlights

I just wanted to put out a quick thank you to everyone that helped keep our fighters hydrated at the War this weekend. As the West still uses "plague tubes" and was using site water we made a store run for bottled water and pop-top bottles. The fighters on both sides appreciated having the option to drink from clean bottles and LOVED the popsicles that were brought to the field toward the end of the day. My thanks to the following:

Mistress Cet
Stephanie
Kendrith
Lucus
Renee

If I have forgotten anyone, please forgive me.

Personal Memories

(Add your personal event memories here. End them with a blank line, four dashes and another blank line. Don't forget to sign them with dash-dash-tildex3. Reminder: it's considered VERY rude to edit someone else's memories.)

As to the battles themselves, we pretty much lost it at the troll gate. An Tir fielded 65 fighters and the West count was 125.

The first battle we tried to use the hillside to force the West to acetic us up a steep hill. We didn't really get deployed up high enough or fast enough so that didn't quite work out.

For the second battle (and for the rest of the War) the West agreed to give An Tir one extra res each on every battle.

That made it much closer and we even won the 2nd battle since the West was way overconfident and fed their units to us a few at a time. They didn't repeat that mistake for the rest of the War but many of the battles were close.

I heard we didn't win the equestrian prize, but we seemed to give as good as we got in the revel point.

It was hot, but not as hot as everyone said it would be. We day tripped from the hotel so that made it much easier.

Someone set the dumpster on fire during Sunday's pack down. That was a bit of excitement when the firemen had to come finish putting it out.

Oh yeah, Luther got offered Knighthood. ;-)

He will get the accolade at Coronation.

Let's see, what else...

The Canadians taught us 'Canada is Large' and another funny song/round about spanking dead nun's bums. They also have a hand cracked (period?) blender and aren't afraid to use it.

My lady had fun doing water bearing. She says getting hosed is now a positive thing sometimes.

oh NO holds were called the entire War??? I've NEVER heard of that EVER. Very cool.

I'm sure others have more comments/memories.
