Persona :

Born in Shawwal 918 A.H. (December 1512 A.D) in the grate Trade city of Damascus. Ah Damascus where caravans loaded with linen, ebony, and ivory from the King’s Highway pour in from the south. Silks and spices from the silk road wind in from the east into the city and markets. Some riches stay while many continued north to Constantinople and the European trade routes or west to the great ships onto Tyre and the Mediterranean bound finally for the new lands. Pilgrims on their way to Mecca rest in the many gardens and parks enjoying a brief respite before continuing their journey through the more arid lands.

Born the eldest daughter of to a long line of merchants she traveled the Mediterranean establishing new business partners and visiting foreign lands. A trader by nature 'Izza is always looking for new and different items and will often be seen wearing and trading in all goods that pass through the mighty sea.

The sea can be a dangerous place and dangerous people must sometimes be hired to protect you. Once when hiring one such person to protect her trade vessels from pirates she met Alexandre de Sant Roma de Sau and through their many adventures they fell in love and were later married secretly. They now continue their travels around the Mediterranean meeting new friends and looking for new adventures and goods.

Arts and Science Activities

Wood turning - I originally started turning wooden pens and was hooked. I now turn many items on the lathe including pens, kitchen utensil handles, sword handles, spools, and anything else I can think of. My husband and I are always on the lookout for good branches which have recently been cut that we can acquire and turn into the next project.
Tablet Weaving - While still new to this art it I enjoy turning my cards and watching a pattern develop. I will admit that warping my loom is my least favorite part and the only reason my house is not filled with yards and yards of trim.
Costuming - I share this interest with my husband. Together we work to make various costumes including making patterns and various accessories.
Largess -
Book Making -
Scribal -

Bardic:
I am a firm believer that anyone can participate in bardic if they would like. While my skills are not in the musical arts I use my love for learning and telling stories to entertain others. In particular I search for stories from various non-western cultures to bring an old story to a new audience.
