Memories of Tir Righ, not attached to any particular event or person.

The badge was originally designed by a group of Shittites, Ariel de Courtenay among them. They sought to design a badge that was unregisterable to encourage the desire for a regional/principality device. When usage was on the rise and we'd become emotionally attached to it, we found out that the badge was already registered to a lady by the name of Astriel of Smael Nest (living near Phoenix, I believe. Which is the Kingdom of... Atenveldt?) She very generously agreed to transfer the badge to the principality; she said she always wanted lands in the north ;-). So I guess it was co-designed -- by the Shittites and Lady Astriel.

The device originally came out of a whole bunch of device suggestions we collected during the "design a principality device" campaign. I might be able to dig out the name of the person who suggested it; just the other day I came across an envelope full of paper device suggestions from about that time. Originally the stars on it were voided like the badge, and I recall that when the senior Kingdom heralds were reviewing the whole mess, it was Dame Zenobia Naphtali who suggested that filling in the stars would make the device a valid candidate. So the device was designed by an unknown (for the moment) gentleman and Dame Zenobia.
