Opening Court September 15, 2007

Court of Their Highnesses Ulf and Caoimhinn, Prince and Princess of Tir Righ Tir Righ Fall Coronet September 15, 2007 being AS XLII Shire of Appledore

Being the Report of the Fall Coronet Invocation of the Lists Court of Their Highnesses Ulf and Caoimhinn, Prince and Princess of Tir Righ. Court held on September 15, 2007 being AS XLII at Fall Coronet in the Shire of Appledore.

Their Highnesses' invited Their Excellencies of Lions Gate and Their Excellencies of Seagirt to join Them at Their Court.

The Branches of Tir Righ were presented to Their Highnesses: Barony of Lions Gate, Barony of Seagirt, Shire of Shittimwoode, Shire of Eisenmarche, Shire of Appledore, Shire of Ramsgaard, Shire of Danescombe, Shires of Lionsdale, Port of Crickstow-on-Sea.

The autocrat, Lord Sevrin de Savage, thanked the populace for attending the event. Her Highness Caoimhinn thanked him well for his work.

The Archery Championship Lists combatants did come before Their Highnesses, knelt and did swear to abide by the rules and conventions set before them.

The Principality Armoured Champion, Viscount Ieuan Gower, came before His Highness and upon being granted permission to fight in the Coronet Lists, did surrender the regalia of his championship.

The Coronet Tourney Lists and their inspirations did come before Their Highneses. The combatants did kneel and swear to abide by the rules and conventions set before them. (Court Reporters note: there were 33 entrants in the Coronet Tourney Lists). His Highness Ulf spoke of the battlefield, and of the responsibility to hold the oath dear should they prove victorious that day. The combatants did then choose their first fight.

Thus ended the Fall Coronet Invocation of the Lists Court of Their Highnesses Ulf and Caoimhinn, Prince and Princess of Tir Righ.

Evening Court September 15, 2007

Court of Their Highnesses Ulf and Caoimhinn, Prince and Princess of Tir Righ Tir Righ Fall Coronet September 15, 2007 being AS XLII Shire of Appledore

Being the Report of the Evening Court of Their Highnesses Ulf and Caoimhinn, Prince and Princess of Tir Righ. Court held on September 15, 2007 being AS XLII at Fall Coronet in the Shire of Appledore.

Their Highnesses invited Their Excellencies of Lions Gate and Their Excellencies of Seagirt to join Them in Their Court.

The autocrat, Lord Sevrin de Savage, introduced Mary Hopkins and Chief Joe Dennis of the Lower Similkameen Indian Band who hold the Ashnola Campground lands upon which this event was held. His Highness Ulf invited the Chief to join Him in Their Court.

His Highness Ulf asked who was victorious in the Coronet Lists this day. In keeping with the Ceremonial of the Principality of Tir Righ, Sir Owain ap Einar and Her Ladyship Eleanor Wrenn, were invested as the Tanist and ban-Tanist, Heirs to the Principality of Tir Righ.

Viscount Ieuan Gower was awarded the Spear in recognition of his skill at arms this day. Viscountess Gwyneth Gower was awarded the Lily. His Highness Ulf asked Viscount Ieuan to retake his place as Tir Righ’s Heavy Combat Champion, which His Excellency did do.

Tanist Owain did pass the Shattered Spear to Thane Einar Guntharson, speaking well of Thane Einar’s prowess on the field.

Members of Their Highnesses’ Retinue who had not yet sworn fealty were called before Their Highnesses to swear an oath of fealty.

On behalf of King Tiernan and Queen Miranda, Their Highnesses invested Sir Sigurd Kerr de Roxburg into the Order of the Jambe de Lion, dated August 25, 2007.

On behalf of Prince Ulfgar and Princess Rene, by the Grace of King Sven and Queen Signy, Their Highnesses did present Ysabel Ashhaven (Ramsgaard) with an Award of Arms, dated January 20, 2007 being AS XLI.

By the Grace of Their Majesties Tiernan and Miranda, Their Highnesses did award Arms to Crystal Hannah Rose (Appledore).

Lord Abe of the Wolfpack made a presentation of beaded necklaces to Their Highnesses.

Their Highnesses invested His Lordship Miles fitz Hubert (Lions Gate) into the Order of the Silver Pillar.

Their Highnesses called forth Isabell, who did accept Red Flame scrolls for Betha of Dawlish and Tewl Gover (Tir Bannog), the awards being given on June 30th at Fields of Gold.

Thomas of Appledore made a presentation of arrows to Their Highnesses. Thomas not being granted permission to leave, Their Highnesses then invested Lord Thomas of Appledore (Appledore) into the Order of the Silver Pillar.

Two Awards of Arms which were presented at Autumn War by His Highness Ulf on behalf of Their Majesties Tiernan and Miranda were read into Court: Serric (Shittimwoode) and Hrafn (Shittimwoode).

His Highness Ulf, noting that the day was ending, asked that He be brought light – which was done well to the delight of the populace.

Their Highnesses called forth the Principality Seneschale, Dame Magdelana Kress (Lions Gate), and did invest her into the Order of the Silver Pillar.

Master Stephen of Hunmanby (False Isle) was invested by Their Highnesses into the Order of L’Etoile d’Argent.

His Highness did address His populace, speaking of mighty deeds and heroes fallen on he battlefield, with widows wailing from mountain tops as one man stood victorious. His Highness asked for a raucous and mighty noise to shake the mountains. "Owain and Eleanor", and the answer from the populace was loud and joyous!

Thus ended the Fall Coronet Evening Court of Their Highnesses Ulf and Caoimhinn, Prince and Princess of Tir Righ.

Closing Court September 16, 2007

Court of Their Highnesses Ulf and Caoimhinn, Prince and Princess of Tir Righ Tir Righ Fall Coronet September 16, 2007 being AS XLII Shire of Appledore

Being the Report of the Closing Court of Their Highnesses Ulf and Caoimhinn, Prince and Princess of Tir Righ. Court held on September 16, 2007 being AS XLII at Fall Coronet in the Shire of Appledore.

Their Highnesses invited Their Heirs and Her Excellency of Lions Gate to join Them in Their Court.

Lord David of Tirane (Lions Gate) was invested as Tir Righ’s Archery Champion.

Their Highnesses invested His Lordship Kenneth of Shaftesbury as a Guardian of Tir Righ, His Lordship having served as Tir Righ’s Archery Champion. With Their Highnesses’ permission, Her Ladyship Vivien of Shaftesbury was called into Court, where His Lordship Kenneth did thank her for supporting him during his time as Archery Champion.

The autocrat, Lord Sevrin de Savage, thanked everyone for coming, and thanked the autocrat team members. Lists and Waterbearer volunteers were given pewter tokens in recognition of their service.

Their Highnesses thanked the Shire for its hospitality, and the autocrat team for its hard work, giving Lord Sevrin a token of Their thanks.

The Shire of Appledore presented gifts to Her Highness and to the ban-Tanist, as well as providing a basket of organic apples.

Their Highnesses called for Mary Hopkins of the Lower Similkameen Indian Band, and thanked her for her assistance, noting that Mary had worked hard to make the weekend work for us.

His Highness Ulf thanked Her Ladyship Keinna de Savage and her team for feeding Them; it made the event much easier on Them.

Thane Einar Guntharson, being victorious in the Rapier Tourney, was called before Their Highness. Princess Caoimhinn presented Thane Einar with beads in his colours, saying it was inspiring that Thane Einar fought with ferocity and chivalry on the Coronet field yesterday, and then came out today and was victorious in a completely different field.

Her Ladyship Isobel de la Roche spoke of the A&S Championship at November Investiture, to be held in the Shire of Shittimwoode.

Viscountess Bernadette Bernadette Ebhilín Árd spoke of An Tir’s Twelfth Night, to be held in the Barony of Lions Gate.

Her Highness Caoimhinn addressed Her populace; saying She had been speaking with a Knight of An Tir about why they were in the SCA. One of the reasons was that the SCA has a sense of community that may be lacking in the modern world – and She felt it this weekend. So saying, Her Highness thanked the Shires of Appledore and Danescombe and everyone who worked for such a wonderful weekend.

Thus ended the Fall Coronet Closing Court of Their Highnesses Ulf and Caoimhinn, Prince and Princess of Tir Righ.
