Silver Creek Falls Youth Camp The year is 1194. Our riders have just returned from the shrine of Saint Thomas Beckett... King Richard is on his way home from the Holy Lands! After two years of captivity, his ransom has been paid. Come celebrate his homecoming with the Barony of Terra Pommaria! (Rumour has it that RICHARD may appear INCOGNITO!) Come to the Inn & play. It's said even nobility cannot resist our charming Inn... Though BRAWLS have been known to be started here! (One is planned for Saturday.) BAWDY songs and tales are said to flourish here as well but we'll contain them from 11pm - 1 Friday Night, so small ears are not corrupted. As Tavern Night has been known to be cutthroat, MURDER has been (& will be) bought & paid for. (The Sheriff may seek your help in solving his!) The PLAGUE is a known visitor at this particular Inn. (But it is only carried by FROGs!). Our Innkeep (some may know him in a loftier occupation) may consent to instruct good gentles in the finer points of GAMING during the time off from Brawling on Saturday.

For those of the MARSHAL bent, bright and early Saturday morn (warped, I know!) an ALTHING is considered for a limited number of gentles. With an opportunity to marshal the "Brawl" to follow. For those concerned with MANNERS, (Shame, shame. At an establishment such as this?). We may convince a traveling scholar to give us a few pointers as interest allows on Sunday.

As usual, the ROAD APPLE INN will be well stocked with beverages, & as at previous Tavern Nights a Kitchen stocked with food will be there to encourage you to spend your coin. In the Inn's Common Room, ENTERTAINERS will be welcome to share their gift Saturday Night and all are welcome to show their appreciation to the Bards, Storytellers & Dancers we can convince to perform. So bring your money & exchange it for ours... No need to burden yourself preparing food, our Inn can supply your needs for the weekend.

Come to Terra Pommaria & celebrate Richards Return to Bar Gamels! Merchants by prior approval of the autocrat only. Limited space, call the autocrat for approval. (Merchant fee $5).

Workshops on a first come, first serve basis. Cost for workshops is $1. There is a $2 charge for the gameboard at the Gaming Workshop & the ABC's & Marshal's Handbook will be available for purchase during the Althing.

No reservations for cabins, or tent space. It also is on a first come, first serve basis.

Contests:

Bawdy Bardic, Friday Night Song or Story, Prizes for: Most Bawdy, Audience Participation, Most RomanticThe Baroness's Cookie Contest, Saturday Afternoon, 2 dozen cookies. The remainder to be sold at the Inn to support the event. Prizes for: Most Chocalaty, Most Nutty (full of nuts, or strange. It's up to you!), & Best Period. Richard Incognito Contest, Saturday Afternoon. Your conception of Richard's garb if he's travelling as a common man. Tavern BRAWL, Saturday Afternoon. No shields tourney. Weapons of 30" or less in length. Each round to start with taunts between the fighters. Prizes for: Overall Winner, Best Taunt.

Site Fee: $7 adults, $3.50 smalls (4-12) Please remember this is a cold event, bring plenty of warm bedding. Some of the cabins have electricity, so you may think about including a heater as well. The site is discretely wet. This is a State Park and all State and US Federal Laws apply.

Directions: From I-5 N or S, Proceed to Salem, Oregon. Take the Santiam Hwy. (HWY 22, Stayton, Detroit Lake) exit #253 toward Detroit Recreation Area and Stayton. Proceed East 5 miles to the Exit for Silver Creek Falls (Hwy 214). Follow signs for 15 miles. Enter the park area and proceed for 1.5 miles. Turn right and follow the signs to the Ranches/Youth Camp. The event is at the Youth Camp.
