- The Shire of Midhaven has had a plentiful harvest and we invite you to share of it at our Harvest Feast on Saturday, November 19, 2011. The feast will be in the 10th Century Norman fashion in honor of our newest and only Midhaven Knight, Sir Thorkel. We are honored to welcome Their Royal Majesties King Thorin and Queen Dagmaer.
- Light refreshments will be available during the day on the day-board. The event will run from Noon - 10pm, with the feast starting at 5:30pm. Court will begin at 4:30pm.
- A&S classes for adults and children.
- Heavy Fighting Practice
- Rapier Fighting Practice
- Darts and Lawn Games.
- A dessert auction to go towards purchasing new archery equipment
- Site is a dry site.

Nalbinding
- Instructor: HL Cerridwen Ravenhawk of Conway
- Time: 12:30-2:30pm
- Limit: 1 Available Space
- An introduction to Nalbinding. Wool, needles and handout to be provided
Basic Rectangular Contruction
- Instructor: HL Elewys of Finchingefeld
- Time: 12:30-3:30pm
- Limit: 6 Spaces Available
- An introduction to basic rectangular construction. Learn how to make a simple undertunic using rectangular construction. Get properly measured and map out your tunic pieces.
- For $2/yard, you may purchase muslin from HL Elewys to cut out tunic pieces. Then take them home, sew them and try the fit before completing a tunic of a more expensive fabric.
Norman Manors
- Instructor: HL Fionnghuala Friseil
- Time: 2:30-3:30pm
- Limit: 10 Spaces Available.
- Learn about the occupations and residence of Norman Manors. There will be a $3 fee, payable to the instructor, for an extensive handout.
Scribal Class - Basic Painting
- Instructor: Lord Renart the Fox of Berwyk
- Time: 12:30-2:30pm
- Limit: 8 Spaces Available
- This is a beginner level class for those who would like to learn to paint charters and such. Supplies provided.
Introduction to Chain Mail
- Instructor: Lord Michael FitzGeoffrey
- Time: 2:30-3:30 pm
- Limit: 4 Spaces Available
- Up to 4 additional students if you provide your own tools. Please contact Lord Michael for tool requirements.
Archery Construction Class
- Instructors: HL Tacye Maple & HL Geoffroi FitzGeorge
- Time: 1:00-2:00pm
- Class limit: 6 Spaces Available
- The instructors will be showing students how to make a Flemish string, repair arrows, construct arrows, etc., depending on what the student wishes to learn. Students please bring your bows if you want to make a string for it. Students will also need to bring their own arrow parts, shafts, fletching, knocks, points, etc. for the repair class.
Kingdom Embellisher’s Guild Challenges
- Time: 12:30-1:20pm
- HL Aelianora de Wyntringham, Kingdom Embellisher’s Guild Mistress, will be available to do
guild challenges (please contact her in advance).
Embellishment workshop
- Instructor: HL Aelianora de Wyntringham
- Time: 1:30-3:30pm
- Limit: Space Available
- HL Aelianora will be presenting an embellishment workshop. She will be available to help students with their embroidery, hand sewing, garment fitting, or other embellishing projects.
