In the SCA we shoot Royal Rounds which are comprised of 6 arrows shot at each of 40, 30, and 20 yards followed by a 30 second timed round at 20 yards. When you have shot 3 Royal Rounds, on 3 different days, they become your average. At succeeding events or practices you can raise your average.
Along with your average comes a rank:
0-39 Novice archer
40-59 Archer
60-79 Bowman
80-99 Master bowman
100-119 Grandmaster bowman
And seeing as no one could possibly hit 120 as that would be "ludicrous".
120-139 Ludicrous bowman
140+ no name yet but will need one very soon as we are getting archers hitting 140 and higher.
