- The College of Scribes: Illumination competition (need not embellish or utilize calligraphy) - Arts Pentathlon
- Black Kettle: Cookery using fruits of the season - Arts Pentathlon
- Office of Sciences: Papermaking contest (vellum, parchment, or manufactured writing material - must be suitable for scribing, judging based also on weight, texture, and period manufacturing process), and Brewing contest (beverage brewed in a traditional manner and containing no chemicals) - Contact Ministers of Arts & Sciences for more information on the competitions.
