New Things!

Costume Contest
General Italian Renaissance theme (Italy from the 14th-15th Century) with the extra bonus points for any of the following: Most Complete Ensemble, Image Duplication (image to be presented with outfit) or Italian Ren Hunt Garb. Entries must present their submissions by 3 PM. The prize will be a book by Janet Arnold and winners announced at the feast.

Subtlety – Dessert & Confections
A subtlety is something that looks like one thing but is created out of something else. Examples would be animals molded out of marzipan, cookies that look like leafs, castles made of cake, etc. All entries must use food grade materials and provide a list of ingredients/materials for allergy identification purposes. Non-period materials and methods are permitted as long as not visible. Contest entries should have a Last Hunt, Italian Renaissance or Aquaterra Anniversary theme. Due to space requirements, items should be restricted to a 18 in base, platter or board.

Entries will be picked up by contestants, for presentation to the Head Table, and have parts that may be sampled for taste. Creations are to be photographed and then eaten by the Populace. Entries should arrive by 3 pm and will be displayed during the day, prior to the Feast. A prize will be awarded in the form of a suitable book on subtleties or period confections.

Each contest must have at least three (3) entries in order to be presented a prize or acknowledged in Court. All entrants, regardless of number, will be displayed, makers are to discuss their projects with a judge and lauded by all!
