100 days a scribe
100 Days a Scribe
100 Days a Scribe is a long-term creative accountability project founded and organized by Nykera Drago D'Argento. The project encourages participants to engage in scribal practice on 100 days within a year, with flexibility in medium, style, and focus.
Purpose
The project is based on the understanding that while artists may not engage creatively every day, many do return to their craft consistently throughout the year. By recognizing 100 days of engagement rather than consecutive participation, the project supports sustainable creative habits.
The purpose of the project is to:
- Encourage appreciation of individual creative effort
- Support and inspire both new and experienced scribes
- Foster long-term habit-building and skill development
- Create a supportive community focused on growth, education, and shared experience
Format
Participants determine their own areas of focus, which may include calligraphy, illumination, research, layout design, experimentation, or reflective process work. Engagement is measured by participation rather than output, emphasizing process over productivity.
Community & Support
The community provides both emotional and educational support, offering shared resources, peer encouragement, and access to a broad network of scribes worldwide. The project aims to reduce isolation among artists and expand access to learning and collaboration.
