Asha ap Myrddin
Asha ap Myrddin joined the SCA in the Barony of Three Mountains in about 1980. In her real-world work career, she was a professional costumer employed by the Portland Opera and other stage productions.
Asha was instrumental in founding An Tir's first Costumer's Guild.
She was business partner with Viscountess Koressa Thokubjalla in the business "Pastiche," which was a staple merchant at many SCA events for almost 30 years. Pastiche stocked fabrics, books, sewing supplies, jewelry, accessories, baskets, and more, and the presence of Asha and Koressa with Pastiche at an event was sometimes credited with rescuing a project in process by others at the event, who found just what they needed to complete or fix a gift or award, on the Pastiche shelves.
Asha often taught for the first version of the University of Ithra, and presented the basic class "History of Costume" extemporaneously, using hundreds of slides of medieval and Renaissance depictions of garb, and her incredible knowledge of garb styles and construction.
