Sibylla de Waryn
The Honorable Lady Sibylla de Waryn resides in the Barony of Three Mountains.
She was introduced into the SCA by a friend in AS 48 (2014); her first event was Twelfth Night. She immediately became a ward of Jarl Ulfred Draumfjallr and his lady, Baroness Elfreda. They hold a special place in Sibylla’s heart.
While attending a class at Sport of Kings 2015, she caught Queen Mary Grace I’s attention and was later approached to serve as Lady-in-Waiting during her reign. Serving on this Royal Retinue was a wonderful experience and a defining moment in Sibylla's journey in the SCA. She traveled from one corner of An Tir to the other with Her Majesty, from Appledore to Myrtle Holt, Wastekeep to Glymm Mere, and greatly enjoyed being of service and making lifelong friends. Thus began a deep love of serving on retinues which continues to this day.
At May Crown 2016 she became an apprentice to Master Charles de Bourbon and joined House Fleur and Ermine to serve as a companion to Duchess Mary Grace of Gatland.
In 2017 she helped found the Priory of St. Catherine, an arts & sciences oriented household along with her laurel Master Charles.
At September Crown 2022 she was placed on Vigil for the Order of the Laurel.
