Please remember to mail in your check (payable to "SCA, Inc Barony of Aquaterra") to confirm your reservations to: SCABarony of Aquaterra, Box 359 Attn: Good Yule 10121 Evergreen Way #25 Everett, WA 98204. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know and I will do everything I can to get you the information you need. Yule is recorded as early as the 4th century by the Germanic Tribes. It is traditionally a celebration of the Winter Solstice. This is a time of celebrating the end of the long, dark and cold night and the beginning of longer days, the coming of the sun. In the 13th century chieftains in Iceland held large feasts at Yule that lasted several days and included dancing, games, sports, and other entertainment.

A&S competition: For most of our time periods, the dark of the year was a time to tell stories around the fire. This competition is keeping in spirit with that time. This is a two part challenge. Part 1. Create a doll of an actual person within the SCA. You must create the entire doll as well as its clothing and any accessories. Part 2. You must write out a story about that doll/person. It can be a true story, a war story, a made up story... entertain us for goodness sakes!!

You can compete in this contest on your own or with friends. The dolls and stories will be set up in display and winner will be by populace vote. Entertain us!!

Entertainment provided by the Bards of Key Point, along with some of our own Aquaterians.
