SCA History

Gwyn ap Llewellyn's first SCA event was Estrella War XVIII. He ran the kitchen for the Atenveldt fighter household of Astri Integrum, the House of Balanced Stars.

His genuine desire to help out and inability to avoid being seen soon had him assisting in several different capacities; they were exciting and infuriating by turns, but always deeply satisfying.

He ventured from his beloved home in the Barony of SunDragon to the Kingdom of An Tir in A.S. XXXVIII. As sometimes happens, the transplant didn't take then. However, several changes in his world reintroduced him to the SCA, and vice versa, which seems to be going well so far.

SCA-related activities include blacksmithing, leatherwork, armored combat, cooking, brewing and infusing alcohol, silk painting and embroidery.

Gwyn's persona is that of an early 10th Welshman, living on the Isle of Man at around 915 ce with his wife, Rafný Garansdottir.

Gwyn currently resides in the Barony of Adiantum.
