Autocratted by Lord John D Immobile, who is also the seneschal of Earnrokke (as of April 2014), held at Windjammer Park on Whidbey Island, was a one day event for the new shire Rapier Championship. Featuring a demo of arts by shire denizens and the famous shire potluck feast, it was a beautiful balmy day.

Graced by the Coronets of Aquaterra, several rapier fighters, and arts demonstrations, it was a day full of chivalry and good times. The closing court was highlighted by the installation of the premier Rapier Champion of Earnrokke, Don Godfrey.

Commentary His Excellency and I just returned from Earnrokke's Summer Castaways demo, and as we discovered, their Rapier Championship. What fun - a laid-back event in a beautiful city park.

Just for fun, I organized a Ladies' Gallery and sponsored a Ladies' Choice Chivalry Prize and Best Death to cheer on the four competitors. Congratulations to our new friends, the 2014 Earnrokke Rapier Champion Don Godfrey from Lionsdale (dubbed by myself and the ladies "Don Cuisinart"), and Drumm Duinan fencers Pierre (winner of the Chivalry prize - the honorable fighters made this no easy choice), and Griffon (whom I nicknamed "Griffon Sand Eater" - sorry my friend, I think that one's going to stick!).

Our hearty thanks to Autocrat John and his team of officers and populace for hosting us and for putting together a great demo. You made it feel like a pleasant family picnic.

If you haven't already done so, consider participating in events down some less-traveled paths and in out of the way places. These small events are a blast and help not only support our neighbors, but promote the glory and chivalry of An Tir and the Society in the far reaches of our Kingdom.
