Taran mac Tarl'a

Taran has been an active member of the SCA since October of 2011. She lives in Glyn Dwfn and is currently the branch herald, having taken over the long vacant office. At Samhain 2012 she received her AoA. She is a member of the House of the Honeybadgers and is, like most of the Honeybadgers, serving as a guard for Their Alpine Highnesses, Luciano and Elizabeth.

Taran's interests are varied, ranging from combat (Cut & Thrust and Rapier) to archery, herbology, cartography, and many other topics. Being a professional costumer, Taran dabbles in many crafts and has a fondness for ridiculous period hats and other flamboyant pieces of garb. She is often very easily recognized due to being conspicuously dressed. She is known by some as the Chicken Lady for she raises fowl and barters with their feathers at many trading events.
