Alasdair's History Alasdair MacGrioghair was born on a cold winters night in 1383 near the banks of Loch Lomond. Being the second son, he grew up knowing that he would not be the heir to his fathers estates and titles; seeing that his older brother Robert would receive these when their father passed away.

So, without the fortunes or responsibilities of a landed noble in his future, Alasdair had free will to pursue any endeavor he wished. To this end, he first attended the University at Saint Andrews for a few years in various studies, then traveled to France and Italy to learn Theology and enjoyed the many taverns and other exotic entertainments. Alasdair's travels next took him to Germany, then Russia, and to the Holy Lands where he again experienced new and exotic delights. In all of his travels, he always acquired new weapons and armour and had to move on to new areas because of the way they where obtained.

The last place he was able to travel to was to Nipon in the Far East. There, once again, he learned new customs and fashions of life that affected his outlook on life. After a few years in Nipon, he finally went back home to Scotland.

He found, during his absence, that his father and older brother had died. This meant he was now the sole heir to his father's estates and titles. He settled in to these new responsibilities with reluctance and traveled to neighboring clans whenever possible to escape his duties.
