Hi,I am Herr Ulf Von Greiffenburg. I first discovered then lost the SCA in Loch Sallan, Atenveldt back in 1978. I couldn't seem to get my mother to let me play with these "Wierd people at the university..." Years later I managed to make some friends who were all students at the University of Alaska Fairbanks who were very active in the Barony of Winters Gate. I on the other hand was too busy with my future ex-wife, so I still didnt realyy get to play, this was the year that Sir Kylson became the first Prince of Oertha. I eventually was rediscovered by a young lady while walking through the queue at the dining facility at Norther Arizona University. I was just standing in line and sh was babbling away about alternate personae and I knew that thenext words to come out of her moust were goingto be "I'm cunducting a study on Spouth Campus. Would you like to participate?" or "Have you heard of the ..." "SCA?" I finished the scentence for her. She introduced herself as Audra the Schenechaal of Ered Sul and would I like to come to the event on Friday night. This time I determined to actually go to an event. Oh, that is a long time ago. More than twenty years now. The things that I have seen and done and seen done by others during these many years. Some of them are stories that I shal tell if we should ever meet. Some I am still trying to forget ever happened and some I will never admitt to ever having been involved.... "Why, yes your Majesty, I will gladly help return the Thrones of the West to their encampment. No, your Majesty, HIS Majesty Jade seems to have very little humor."

I am a late Thirteenth/Early Fourteenth Century German Crusader. I managed to escape at the final collapse of the defenses of Acre in the year of our Lord 1291, and somehow to return by a very circuitous route to my native lands in Ostmarch. During that time I have had the pleasure to have known as served with many fine folks from these many Kingdoms. Hail to the Dream! Hail Chivalry! Virtue, Valor, Victory!

I have lived in many lands. My Wife and family are from An Tir, The land of rivers and mountains will always be my home. The land of the Phoenix, Sunny, Sandy Atenveldt will always hold my heart. Hear now the mighty roar of the Sundragon! Currently The Honourable Lady Sárnat, all five daughters and I all live in the Barony of the Flame, Oaken Region, Middle Kingdom. I actually won the A&S Champion (It was the beer, infusions and leatherwork) and finished second in the lists, only to deploy with the Imperial Army to the Hindu Kush for Enduring Freedom V-VII.

I still love the fine craft of brewing. I do some of my own armouring (not much), leatherwork and of course there are the four "Fs!" Feasting and Fighting being the only ones we can elaborate on in such a gentle forum. Now I am Squired to Sor Ustad the Dreded, a Turk.... go figure, Squried to a Mongol, Apprenticed to an Evil Baron in service to Her Grace Hlutwiga and now to a Turk, nothing is ever simple in our society.
