Main Draw: Huge bookstore, stocks new and used.
Location: Main (downtown) store is Powell's City of Books (Burnside), 1005 W Burnside, Portland, OR 97209 USA. Powell's Technical Books is just a couple of blocks away, at 33 NW Park Avenue, Portland, OR 97209 USA. Several other locations as well (including "Books for Cooks and Gardeners").
Comments: Big bookstore. Big, big, big. It's an overflowing city block in size. Stocks new and used books side-by-side. Pick up a basket and a map when you arrive. If you're visiting with friends, make a date to meet back in the coffee shop in an hour.

Main Draw: Huge fabric store. Immense selection.
Location: 9701 SE McLoughlin, 503-786-1234. Hwy 99E is McLoughlin. Store is at Millport just after overpass. While you're inthe neighbourhood also check out Woolen Mill store at 8550 SE McLoughlin "just further up the road"
