Annik is a young trouveresse from Venoix, a small village outside of the port-city Caen of northern France. She often travels to the nearby town of Arras to compete in the Puy d'Arras, a musical contest renowned throughout 13th century France, usually accompanying herself on the drum or the vielle.

She is an active member of the Bards of An Tir and the An Tir Players. Annik is also the teenage daughter of Mistress Alisaundre ni Feidhlimidh dal gCais and Master Leith Amhranai dal gCais. Despite her relatively early French persona, she sometimes wanders around in the garb of an Elizabethan boy, performing 16th century clavichord music and Shakespeare alongside her trouveresse endeavors.

Clavichord

Raised as a bard all her life, Annik always regretted that her primary instrument was neither period nor portable. She has been playing the piano for 12 or more years. Around 2014, however, she had the sudden realization that there is period keyboard music, and those keyboard instruments are considerably more portable than a pianoforte. Within a year, her parents had obtained a clavichord for her, and she began actively researching period clavichord music. She entered a 16th century keyboard Fantasia in the 2015 Kingdom Bardic Championship, and it was the highest scoring single entry of the Bardic Championship that year. She has continued researching both solo and accompanying clavichord music, and is currently working on keyboard accompaniment to vocal music.

Trouvère

Annik also enjoys researching and performing early French music from the troubadour era, taking advantage of her fluency in modern French to gain expertise in Old French.

Shakespeare

Annik is an active member of the An Tir Players, and has participated in several plays. Her largest role was as Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream, but she has also played Malvolio in Twelfth Night, The Marshall in Commoner King, Tranio in Taming of the Shrew, and various bit parts in Macbeth.

She has performed every year but 2015 in the Chorum Leo
