Andreu's First Event

Andreu's first sample of medieval recreation was not at an SCA event. His first event was Cammlann, a medieval fair held on six weekends during the summer of 1986 in Carnation, WA near Lake Joy. His Lady Wife, Fiamma the Unquenchable, produced for the two of them, garb appropriate for a 15th Century Norman English nobleman and noblewoman. Andreu was resplendant in his brilliant yellow and blue garb, complete with headgear. So beautiful was his, and his Lady's garb, that the King and Queen of Cammlann did call him, and his lady, to come before their Court so that others might enjoy the colorful couple. After Court, Andreu and Fiamma had conversation with the noble rulers of Cammlann. Andreu learned the the noble rulers of Cammlann were named Thorin and Angharad, and that there existed an organization called the Society for Creative Anachronism. Andreu was given contact information for his local branch of the SCA, the Shire of Aquaterra. It was in Aquaterra that Andreu attended his first SCA event, Ursalmas III.
