War Tabards

When An Tir goes to war as a unit (typically at An Tir-West War or Estrella War) our fighters are lucky proud to be able to wear one of the matching war tabards.

How the War Tabards Came to Be

As told by Duchess Groa Amicus Exhiderius

I think Skepti and Asa agreed to 150 tabards being made, since Qadiya Mahliqa and her Disinherited Consort were able to produce them at such a substantial savings, and some were set aside for sale since many fighters were interested in keeping their war tabards.
Mahliqa sewed all the tabards together at no labor cost, and the embroidered heraldry she was able to also provide at no cost. During the Christmas holidays, when she and her significant other were in Connecticut visiting her family, her old place of work allowed her free access to the embroidery machines....between the hours of 12:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. She and the Disinherited spent three sleepless nights getting the embroidery work done, and were able to present them to the Kingdom at Twelfth Night 2001.
For awhile there, the tabards were available for purchase, and some fighters actually did purchase their own tabards. So that's something to keep in mind, in case you happen to see a tabard in someone's armor bag and think [that you have located one of the missing tabards].
