The Shire of Dragon's Mist (Washington County, OR) is located in the rivers region of An Tir. It is one of the oldest branches of An Tir.

Local recognition includes shire tokens for the Dragon's Scale, for long suffering service or arts contribution to the Shire, the Dragon's Tear, for service as seneschal, and the Seneschal's Favor, for service to the seneschal.

Baronial Status

At the January shire meeting a vote was taken of the populace for whether to pursue becoming a barony. With a vote of 28 to 3, the motion was carried to approach the appropriate kingdom officials and request the paperwork to initiate that process.

As of August, the Shire has initiated contact with the necessary officers and is collecting the packet of information required to proceed. Among the contents will need to be letters of recommendation (opinion) from peers of all kinds.

As of December, not enough votes were cast in the polling to determine the will of the branch. Baron James (Kingdom Seneschal) established a website at http://members.shaw.ca/dragonsmistbaronypoll/index.html to allow members who have not previously cast their votes to vote online or via printed forms.

See the current status of the Dragon's Mist Baronial Polling.
