Court Report

Notes from Their Royal Majesties Court

BoD Revel

Greetings, noble cousins!

The following bits of business occured in the BoD Meet and Greet Revel court of Their Royal Majesties, Wilam and Siobhan, King and Queen of An Tir.

His Royal Majesty, Wilam, informed the populace of the completion of a oath he had made with the inscription of the names of Baron Gwilym and Baroness Elizabeth of Three Mountains on the scabbard of his blade.

The background behind this is that last fall, when His Majesty - then His Royal Highness - attended Samhain in Three Mountains, the Baron and Baroness of Three Mountains swore fealty to the Crown through His person. They swore their oath on the Prince's personal blade. The only other oath ever swore on it was His Majesty's fealty oath when he was created a knight. At that time, King (Prince) Wilam vowed to inscribe their names on the scabbard in memory of the Oath they had sworn.

An Award of Arms was awarded to Ursa Kloviskeggr, Sergeant at Arms to Her Excellency, Baroness Miranda Faoiltierna. Huzzah for the new Lord!

Gunnar Hamundarson presented Their Majesties with two beautifully crafted leather pouches as largesse, as well as a lovely handcrafted longbow.

Their Majesties had further business with their loyal subject. Gunnar was then recognized with admittance unto the Order of the Jambe de Lion! Huzzah for His Lordship!

Viscountess Meagan had business regarding the Summits boundary change in Their Majesties court.

Lynnara Correll was recognized by the Crown for her contributions to the betterment of the society and awarded arms. Huzzah to Lady Lynarra! Well deserved!

The Shire of Dragon's Mist extended an invitation to their Majesties in the form of a wonderful poem read by their Defender, His Lordship Rognvaldr Bassi.

In a touching ceremony, Judita bat Ephraim Micas was admitted to the Order of the Goutte de Sang. Judging by the reaction of the populace, this was a very good thing! Huzzah to Her Ladyship!

The supervising autocrat, the Honorable Lady Khalja Khorkhoi ("Korki" to Her Majesty) presented the Autocrat, Lady Anika Grace, with a bottle of champagne to celebrate the signing on their new house which will occur on Monday (and which she was dealing with while organing a multi-branch event).

Their Royal Majesties, with the collusion of all Their retinue, then did admit Khalja into the noble Order of the Jambe de Lion. I'm still trying to figure out how they snuck that one in.

Viscountess Calista, Kingdom Seneschal, amid much fanfare, announced that May Crown would take place in the Barony of Stromgard and 12th Night 2003 would occur in the Barony of Adiatum. Congratulations to both branches!

Laurin of Rosewood, who had been honored earlier in Baronial court, was called before Their Majesties and was awarded arms. Huzzah for Lady Laurin of Rosewood!

Daphne of Colchester, Society Seneschal, brought the compliments of the King and Queen of Meridies and an invitation to attend Gulf Wars that was extended to the entire Kingdom of An Tir. His Grace, Duke Torkill spoke at length regarding the warmth of the people of Meridies and the extremely high fun quotient of Gulf Wars.

And so ended the court of Wilam and Siobhan, undoubted King and Queen of An Tir! An Tir! An Tir! An Tir!
