Oh ... I hadn't even thought of 'Baroness Skippy' ones.

Let's see...

348. Baroness Skippy will not look longly at the ice cream bar someone is eating while they are walking in the door at an indoor where she is sitting gate and say "Oh! That's looks so good!

The story to this is: Baroness Skippy wasn't quite 'Baroness' at the time and she was, shall we say, 'Great With Child'. Those of her 'Soon To Be' Barony tending to take things at face value when she'd mention something simply as an aside.

Fast forward ahead ten minutes from the point of her saying -'Oh!' to having one Good Gentleman walk back into the Hall and say 'Did you say you wanted an Ice Cream?'. In a state between rampant curiosity and complete and overwhelming dread, said 'Proto-Baroness' gets up and walks out the front door to find the following:
1 Ice Cream Cushman cart + 1 *very* bemused driver.
1 Pick-up truck with driver belonging to a member of said Proto-Barony.
4 Good Gentlemen standing next to said Ice Cream cart with beaming smiles. And swords.

Evidently, upon hearing Her Soon-To-Be-Excellency mummer Her Desires, five [I believe that's what the final count was] Good Gentles went out the back door, loaded up the truck [1 driver and four in the back] and headed off down a downtown Tacoma street in search of the Ice Cream cart. The cart driver, being a 'Kind Soul'[tm], and, in all of God's Honest Truth, probably a bit over whelmed by the sight of a Viking Long Truck full of men with swords waving and yelling in his rear view mirror, turned around and brought his cart back to the event site.

I ... ah ... *Her* Soon-to-be-Baroness got her ice cream, the driver made a bunch more sales and another little bit of Baronial History was created.

And the moral of the story is? Always be *very* careful what you say in front of people because they may just be listening.
