Grian, the definition given in the Glossary you cited under 'Arms' only applies to people. Branches have arms, as can be seen in the same Glossary under the headings 'Petition of Support' and 'Required Charges', both of which refer to 'branch arms'. ______

That's why the College of Arms submission forms refer to it as a "group device", right? Someone had better notify the heralds quick that they've messed up! o.O -Grian
