The only definition for the word provided is so generic as to be meaningless in the SCA or Kingdom context rendering an article unnecessary. Edward 22:32, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

I think it’s worth keeping.

Yes, the definition is broad, but I believe it is useful nonetheless, as it is something that several An Tirian peers and others use, and does indicate a relationship, albeit a less formal one, than that of a squire/apprentice/protégé/cadet/arcuarius. It derives its value from the contrast with these more formal relationships.

I was just looking for this page, as Associate is specific to peers apparently. One of the first examples on that page is used to describe how associates are different from students. I also will adjust the definition, as what I was expecting was not "associate lite", but rather a name to describe formal learning relationships for non-peer orders (OGGS & arcarius, etc.). Well see how that goes.

Also, when adding the deletion nomination tag, leave the current content in place. Thanks! --Michelino di Gino Martini 16:46, 16 September 2015 (UTC)
