Talk:Mikill-Óláfr Bjarnarson

To many of you this email will take you off guard. Master Baron Olafr has been battling cancer in typical Norse fashion, ferociously and unflinchingly. However, it looks as though his journey across Bifrost, the Rainbow Bridge, is closer than we would have hoped. As the Valkeries hover and the battle rages on, time still remains to let Olafr know how much he means to all of us.

Life on the battlefield is lonely for the warriors and their families who await the outcome. Battles that require physicians are expensive and overwhelming.

Olafr has asked for nothing save your friendship and good thoughts. As a community, we can find additional ways to show our love and support. We are have set up an account where financial donations can be made to offset medical expenses. The Dan McMillan Fund is at Bank of America in Washington State (savings account # 5315563792)

Their Majesties have given Their leave for fundraising at events, when possible. Gifts and good wishes are equally welcome and no less valuable. Olafr would enjoy a good joke, cartoon, or photo of brighter days. Donnan and Callista will be at Crown Council and those wishing to, may contribute at that time. Do what you feel appropriate, but an email takes little time and means a lot to someone facing their fears as a true hero.

As his strength is devoted to his fight, please respect Olafr and his family's privacy by communicating via email or snail mail. I am providing a mailing address and email addresses. Baroness Meara has requested that you cc her with "Olafr" in the subject line so that no good wishes are missed in the sending.

While our hearts are heavy at this news, please celebrate Olafr's life while he is still with us.
