Shire of Xerophil
First mentioned in the December 1973 The Crier, Edward Zifran invited folks to the “Shire of Xerophil” which was going to hold “its first event - the Tourney of Snow” on January 18-20, 1974 in Cheney, WA.
In the January 1974 Crier, the location is given as “Castle Gendy” (Edward Zifran of Gendy’s home).
The schedule was: January 18th - Welcome Guests 1:00pm on January 19th - 1:00pm Procession to the Throne. 1:30pm Lists open & challenges begin. 2:30pm Lists close-Tourney begins. 4:00pm on dancing, singing & feasting. January 20th - 12:00am Breakfast, reveling ad lib.
