Throughout the Kingdoms, word has spread of the generosity of the people of An Tir, for when the Lion Sovereigns travel afar They bring gifts and wear garments of exquisite beauty and intricate craftsmanship. The word fame of the artists of An Tir is acclaimed throughout the known world, for they are generous with the gifts of their time, talent, and treasure. In the Forty –sixth year of the Society, King Thorin and Queen Dagmaer determined that this unstinting generosity should be recognized and rewarded and thus was established the Bountiful Hand of An Tir, the token of which displays a hand appaumé argent.
