The Mano d'Oro may be given by the Crown on the recommendation of the Minister of Arts and Sciences for excellence in and service to the Arts and Sciences of An Tir. Only one per reign is customarily given.
The badge of the order is Purpure, a dexter hand within a double tressure Or.
