Served twice as Queen of An Tir:

- Barak and Lao, Jan 9 AS XXVII/1993 - July 17 AS XXVIII/1993
Possibly the first Asian Queen to sit the Antirian Throne.
Established the Order of the Carp during her first reign to recognize and encourage excellence in persona development.
Compiled the alphabetical list of mongolian names from "The Secret History of the Mongols" which is posted on her website.
Lao's litany of names
In following Chinese and Mongolian custom, Lao changed her name to commemmorate significant evennts/changes in her SCA life:
Lao Xue-sheng - Wise Student (The Tibetan monks who raised her had an extraordinary sense of humor...); Nu-huang Lao - first reign name (Chinese for queen); Lao Tao-sheng - county name, Chinese for "Old One, Born to Tell Tales" (she was once a bard'); Lao Khatun - second reign name (a Mongolian title, 'chieftain's wife'); Lao Yu - Old Jade (duchy name)
