Yes, the definition is broad, but I believe it is useful nonetheless, as it is something that several An Tirian peers and others use, and does indicate a relationship, albeit a less formal one, than that of a squire/apprentice/protégé/cadet/arcuarius. It derives its value from the contrast with these more formal relationships. |

I think it’s worth keeping.
Yes, the definition is broad, but I believe it is useful nonetheless, as it is something that several An Tirian peers and others use, and does indicate a relationship, albeit a less formal one, than that of a squire/apprentice/protégé/cadet/arcuarius. It derives its value from the contrast with these more formal relationships.
