| Joining the SCA in 1992 under the name of Mara McCunniff, I was taken in and helped create the 4th re-creation of House Fabritzio. I first started in Glyn Dwfn (Ashland and surrounding areas, OR), while going to college.

| After a few years, I changed my name to Merripan Baval Fabritzio, a Romm name meaning Beautiful Life or Beautiful Death. I was married to another member of the SCA, Petran o'Cosgraigh, formerly Peter of Briaroak, and we were together for 10 years before parting ways.

| Eight years after joining, I received my AoA, and my name officially became Serena Merripan Baval Fabrizio, and was recognized as an Italian merchant's daughter from Venice, Italy. To assist with earning money for my family, I was chosen to be educated and trained as a courtesan. I am known for my beauty, wit, grace, and vocal talent, as well as my sharp tongue on occasion.
