May Bardic is an event held annually by the barony of Lions Gate. For many years, it has the site of bardic and arts and sciences competition, as well as picnicking. When the position of Lions Gate Bardic Defender was established, during the baronial reign of Baron Devin and Baroness Aurora, May Bardic was chosen as the occasion for the annual Defender's tourney.
