Greetings to the Free People of Avacal.
Unto Sword-strong Steinn and Beauteous Gemma, jewels of Avacal, and their noble succesors Wernar and Helene; Vik and Inga, Once-Rulers of mighty An Tir; Beothuk and Wilma, warm and loving rulers of Montengarde and Grimwolf and Dezzrianne, stanchions of fierce Myrgan Wood do I send entreaties.
Recently one of Your retainers voiced dark and dangerous words. These are words that topple citadels and strongholds and leave the ground stained a deep red. I write to beg of you, to plead that you quickly make amends and send tribute and homage. Think not of the embaressment of riches, the hoards of gold and gems and precious silks that you stand to forfeit. Think not of the fertile croplands that will fall before the scythe of war. Think not of the proud Griffon, his back broken by shooting silver stars.
Think of the children. We would treat them well, but none deserve orphanage at the spur of your foolish words.
As the harvest sat safe two years past our mighty armies met on the field. While your arrows darkened the sky you succeded at nothing but delivering us a Mythic Hero to the name of Dana One-Eye. And still you did not march away with victory. A year later we met and once again you were forced back to your fields and your toil with nothing. Even the Undead scourge you brought to aid you could not topple the pride of Tir Righ.
I beg you listen to me not as a simple Lord, though Lords of Tir Righ are reckoned princes of lesser men. Listen to my reason, save yourselves and submit now while there is still time. Please, think of the children.
In compassion,
tiarna Caemgen mac Garbith ui Sable Loat,
