Lionsdale Champions is an exciting event that happens every year in July.<br>
 
The Shire holds tournaments to determine the Champions for the areas of Archery, Armoured Combat, and Missile Combat. In addition there is a yearly tradition of the Ladies Frying Pan toss.  For this all of the ladies line up and get a chance to throw a frying pan at a watermelon set up to look like a head.  The first person to break it is the winner.  The competition is also open to men on the condition that they wear women's clothing when doing it.
