I do lots of stuff, sewing, weaving, leather, metal....I wish I had 2 extra hours in the day that nobody else knew about so I could get everything done.

My last 'groove' was 14th C reproduction Pottery.  Im not usually trying to make a specific pot, but if my mug full of beer was dropped on an 14th C. English pub table in front of you, I hope that the medieval you wouldn't look at it twice.

Im also trying to look 'Medievally Possible', if that makes any sense. My clothes, and encampment are all becoming more a Medieval possibility than an SCA Dream, this would be easier if I could choose a century!  I almost had middle class 14th C English together, but 16 C Flemish is so much fun!

I hope this idea intrigues people and doesn't make them feel judged because they want something different then I do, I don't inflict my ideas on other people, they can do whatever they want.  The minimum standard to play in the SCA is an attempt at pre 17C clothing, so what is the maximum before you arent welcome?

I have 2 Apprentices who are both really awesome and scary at the same time.  Gemma Meena in Avacal is my Glass Goddess - beads, enamel, stained and blown. Isabeau Fitchet in Seagirt does leather, bone, metal and stone - they rock!

I started in the SCA in Seagirt and have been living in the Barony of Lions Gate for over a decade. I do lots of stuff, sewing, weaving, leather, metal....I wish I had 2 extra hours in the day that nobody else knew about so I could get everything done. My last 'groove' was 14th C reproduction Pottery. I'm not usually trying to make a specific pot, but if my mug full of beer was dropped on an 14th C. English pub table in front of you, I hope that the medieval you wouldn't look at it twice. I'm also trying to look 'Medievally Possible', if that makes any sense. The minimum standard to play in the SCA is an attempt at pre 17C clothing, so what is the maximum before you aren't welcome? I have 2 Apprentices who are both really awesome and scary at the same time. Gemma Meena in Avacal is my Glass Goddess - beads, enamel, stained and blown. [[Isabeau Fitchet] in Seagirt does leather, bone, metal and stone - they rock! In the modern world I am a Goldsmith, you are welcome to read my jewelery blog. http://karenmorrow.blogspot.com/ K
