The second annual Kriegstreiber Multi-Weapons Prize Tourney will be held June 26-27 at the Côte des Columbe Vineyard in Banks, Oregaon in conjunction with a wine-tasting festival. The round robin tourney will start at 10 a.m. Saturday. Awards will be in the following categories: sword, mace, axe, 2-handed weapons and overall performance. There will also be a boffer tourney for 12 and under and those 13-16 years. All artisans are encouraged to take advantage of the free vending space and mundane byers from 10-6 on Saturday. Gates close to mundates at 6 p.m. Saturday after which time the autocrats will ask all to share in the spit-roasted beast and join in a potluck around the fire. | |||
The Mistress of Arts wil sponsor a bardic storytelling competition, "Tales of ancient An Tir and her Heroes." Stories are to be bardic style and written up for inclusion in the Grete Boke of An Tir. | |||
A written bid auction will be held to help fund the event. Among the items on the block will be a unicorn (not unlike the horses presented to Steingrim and Lenora at their coronation.) | |||
Bring basic tourney gear, and swimsuits if you wish. Two simming holes are available for use after 6 p.m. and AT YOUR OWN RISK! Please help keep smalls away from these holes. | |||
