Alaskan Branches

The Principality of An Tir contained the various branches in Alaska while it was part of the Kingdom of the West. When An Tir became a Kingdom (Jan 16 1982 at Twelfth Night) these branches stayed with the West.

The branches included:

Canton of Afognack (Alaska)

Barony of Eskalya (Anchorage, Alaska)

First mentioned in the May 1977 Crier.

Mentioned as a Shire in the May 1978 Crier, seeking Baronial status.

June 1979 Crier mentions the newsletter is The Eskalya Chronicle.

Dec 1979 Crier mentions it as a Barony, with the second Baron and Baroness installed.

Freehold of Silviergard / Selveirgaard, Eskalya

Mentioned in the April 1979 Crier.

Mentioned as Freehold of Selveirgaard (Chugiak) in Dec 1981 Crier.

Shire of Wintersgate (Fairbanks)

Mentioned in the April 1979 Crier.

September 1979 Crier lists it as Canton of Winter's Gate.

September 1981 Crier mentions it being changed to a Provence of the West at Lord Defenders Tourney.

Shire of Morgan Wood (Saskatoon)

October 1979 Crier mentions the Saskatoon branch is seeking a name.

November 1979 Crier names it Morgan Wood, and notes they asked to be part of the Middle Kingdom.

Shire of the Thousand Isles (Jeneau)

College of Winter's Keep (College)

Note College is a Census Designated Place near Fairbanks, containing the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
