Imaigne joined the SCA in the summer of 1987 in the then Shire of Seagirt. She was then known as Bronwyn ferch Elys ap Llewellyn, and as such she received her AoA. She served as Chronicler for the shire, arranged a demo at UVic and was head chef for the 1989 Daffodil feast.

In the fall of 1989 she moved to Lions Gate with her friend Sarah Frances Halkett. Somewhere around this time she performed the mystical feat that earned her the title of "Original Girl Bomb."

As Bronwyn, she served as Head Lady-in-Waiting to Her Majesty Jacyntha I, and as Lady-in-Waiting to Her Majesty Jacyntha II. She also assisted with the reign of Their Majesties Darius III and Morgaine I.

In 1997, Bronwyn quit the SCA and has never been seen since. Someone looking remarkably like her began attending events in 2000 and was introduced to all as Imaigne de Brysele.

Imaigne has served on two Principality retinues (Einar and Thora I and Kheron and Ksenia I) as Court Liaison, and on one Kingdome retinue (Uther I and Angharad VI). She received her Jambe de Lion, Silver Pillar and Talon of Favour in September, 2004.

Imaigne de Brysele was born in 1287, somewhere in England and is currently living in the year 1326. She enjoys costuming, early period embroidery and applique and mead-making. She has also been known to build tents and wooden chests. She has taught embroidery, applique, calligraphy, illumination and haversack construction to children and adults, and is apprenticed to Mistress Arias the Innkeeper's Daughter.
