| Athos started in the SCA @ the age of 32 in May of 2012, he had been a long time dedicated player in foam combat games/sports prior to this since he was about 15.<br>

| Being from Seattle, his local land falls within the [[Barony]] of [[Madrone]]. He started attending their Wednesday night local fighter practice. A very welcoming group of guys, Sir Payne, Sir Athelred, Sir Heilyn, Sir Tim, Sir Stefan being some of the first and regulars to help get armored up and fighting.<br>

| [[Viscount]] [[Sir]] [[Stefan of Pembroke]] really connected with Athos as he started to really dive into the Heavy Combat. In October of 2012, Athos Accepted a [[Squire]]'s belt from Sir Stefan.<br>

| Since that time Athos has done well for himself on the fighting fields and also accomplished himself more in the other aspects of the society. He has become a pretty good leather and wood worker, though by no means an expert. Athos submitted himself for the [[Madrone Sergeants Trials|Sergeants Trials]] of [[Madrone]] and was brought in as a Heavy Sergeant during a Madrone event, [[Emprise of the Black Lion]]. It was at that same event that Sir (at the time, His Majesty) Styrkarr Jarlskald put Athos on vigil to be knighted at an event of his choosing.<br>

| Athos was Knighted @ 12th Night in January of 2015 AS XLIX (49).<br>

| Later that year, Athos won the right to be the Heavy Combat Champion of Madrone @ [[Emprise of the Black Lion]], a year after he had been put on Vigil.
