He brought me back to his estate when turmoil erupted between the Seljuqs and Ottomans on his way back from Pilgrimage. He had an argument with the Caliph and ended up in my Pasha’s dungeon. After telling me stories of his green homeland, I helped him escape and he took me home with him. I maintain the home when he is away. And though the food here is rather bland, the beauty of the land it makes up for it. So I cook when I’m homesick and paint scenes on the silk so his banner can fly proudly.
