Lionsdale Champions is an exciting event that happens every year in July.

The Shire holds tournaments for the areas of Thrown Weapons, Light Fighting, Heavy Fighting, Archery, and Bardic.
The Shire holds tournaments to determine the Champions for the areas of Archery, Bardic, Armoured Combat, Missile Combat, and Thrown Weapons.  In addition there is a yearly tradiditon of the Ladies Fryingpan toss.  For this all of the ladies line up and get a chance to throw a fryng pan at a watermellon set up to look like a head.  The first person to break it is the winner.  The competition is also open to men on the conndition that they wear womens clothing when doing it.
