PERSONA I was born in Bangor Wales the eldest son of a minor house where we made our livelihood from shipping in the year 1282 (in my first persona). I was fostered to one Even Graham, Earl of Montrose, on my 8th birthday and grew up going back and forth across the border between Wales and Scotland. My family lost everything including their lives and good name in the revolt against the Sassenach Bastards in 1295. My foster father allowed me to take his name as my own was under a sentence of outlawry. AS I had nothing waiting for me at home, and no real prospects, I joined the Knights Templar to attempt to reclaim the holly lands from the Saracens. The things that I saw while in the service of the Temple of St. John caused me to question my faith, and then in 1314 when my Captain Lord DeMoley was put to the question for heresy and Treason against France by the pretender to the Papacy I Broke with the church completely. Several others and I fled to the coast, rescued a Templar ship from the French authorities and ran to Scotland where Robert the Bruce was offering sanctuary in return for service. I served at Bannock Burn where I earned my Spurs and was offered to keep the Ship (renamed the Rhiannon) and given a letter of Mark against the Sassenach (English) and the French. While in Scotland I met the love of my life, a beautiful Scots lass with hair the color of fresh copper and a wisdom to match her beauty. She is a wisewoman from the highlands, which is suitable to me, as I can no longer follow the Church that sanctions such things as I have seen. We have a son, and I have a daughter by a Saracen girl that I knew briefly. I sometimes am a bit concerned about Her Ladyship my wife, as she thinks its still 1225, but I pass it off as part of her Pagan ways, and love her wholly none the less. I am also my own remote descendant, a Scottish Seadog for Good queen Bess. The Year is 1585, and while I consider myself a Scottish patriot, I can abide not the Catholic Church and Papist Dung that Bloody Mary’s Bastard Son James has brought in to rule my poor home. My family has always had issue with the papists. Legend has it that this goes back to the founder of our house, who broke with the church over reasons of conscience over 200 years ago. It is he that I am named after, as is my ship named after his, though it is a Panache and not a Caroche as his was reputed to be. We raid and attack the Spanish and any other Papists we sight, these being our lawful prey. I am well trained in either guise, and have made most of my own armor, am a master brewer and vintner in cooperation with my lady wife, have good knowledge of Navigation and a fine rutter, knowledge of armaments and gunnes, am a fine woodwright, cooper and chandler, a above average swordsman with all weapons, and I have as likely a group of cutthroats for crew as have ever been seen on the ocean sea.
