Hanefr "Lars" Ragnarson began playing in the SCA in 1992 after seeing a group of Wealdsmereian fighters at a Comicon. He met at that gaming con the now Brant Sturrock and Duke Sir Gunnar Brunwulf. He was immediately interested in the marshal arts of the SCA and began attending fighters practice. He was squired a year later to Gunnar. Lars has continued in armored combat for the entirety of his SCA career.

Lars was originally Caeialliean from the early celts. Upon learning that his name meant "kitten" he changed to a persona more fitting his berzerker personality; a 9th century viking Hanefr Lars Ragnarson. He married his friend and true love Kara Bjornsdottir and has served as her protector for many years. They have one son, who holds his fathers heart, Lucas Beeslayer. Lars has taught Lucas sword/shield fighting from a very young age.

When Lars is not fighting (which is not very common) you can find him serving the Barony of Wealdsmere. He is a man who is loyal to the people he loves most. Generally behind the scenes, he has served many offices such as Master of Stables, Web Minister and Constable. He participates in archery as often as possible. He is skilled in metal work, blacksmithing and shoe making.

Lars has been awarded several awards at both Kingdom and Baronial level but enjoys most the camaraderie of the fighters of Wealdsmere and the many persons he calls friends. Lars did choose to test as a Sergeant of Wealdsmere and was granted entrance into the order in 2002 by Kelta Bri Leith. He has won championship tourneys for both marshal skill and Arts and Sciences.

Lars enjoys the An Tir fighters circuit and plans to continue to as long as the circuit runs.
