SCA History
Sigrún stumbled upon the SCA in the spring of 1997 in a little shire called Hartwood. She dabbled in early Celtic culture for a few years as Aebfhinn, otherwise known as the name that no one could pronounce, before taking on the late period Russian persona, Magdalina Voronova.
During this time, she became very interested in A&S, particularly the scribal arts, and was invited to become the apprentice of Maister Iago ab Adam.
Since then, Sigrún has seen the light of Asgard and taken on a ninth century Norse persona. She is a member of Mjöðgarðr, a Viking Age household based primarily in the shire of Hartwood.
