Lord James O'Gordon is one of the founders of Dragon's Mist and an early Seneschal of that shire.
When he was active it was customary for the O'Gordon household to hold an annual revel for the shire - the O'Gordon Revel. Those of us who remember these events still miss them. An O'Gordon Revel was one of my first SCA events, and also of my Lord Edwardus Honestus. Much has changed in the Known World since those days, but Good Times such as these are never forgotten!
Lord James (Jamie) is husband to Mistress Arlys o Gordon who, thankfully, remains active in the Society.

ps,
I have received a response to this page, and I liked the quotation so much I had to pass it along. It is so appropriate to the Culturewiki project!
"Tell her thank you very, very much! It is greatly appreciated!
"I'm no longer one of the "lonesome gods". The story (from a Louis L'Amour book) is that the Native Americans built piles of stones to remember their gods as they moved, and would add a stone every time they passed such a pile. As time went on, people forgot, and these gods faded away; but as long as one person remembered and added a stone to the pile, that god was not forgotten and lived on.
"Somebody added a stone to my pile!" :-D
So, An Tirians, add a few stones to your old friends' piles along the wiki way. Let them not fade away...
